The "good time rock ‘n pop" sounds of Joe’s Boys have been capturing audiences from Albany to the Adirondacks for well over 20 years! The 'Boys, during the past year or so, have performed numerous times at great Capital District venues such as Schenectady’s "Rivers Casino," Saratoga’s "Parting Glass," Watervliet’s "Rusty Anchor Barge," "NaNola" in Malta, Ravena’s "Yanni’s Too," "Martel’s Grill" on the beautiful grounds of the Town of Colonie Golf Course - and many other terrific venues. And, we have even performed at Proctors Theater - opening up for Herman’s Hermits, B.J. Thomas and the Grass Roots!
Through the years, Joe’s Boys has been selected to perform at a number of special Capital District community events, including several "Hats Off to Saratoga" celebrations, community park events in nearby Niskayuna, Cohoes, Rensselaer, and Green Island, and, on several occasions, even the huge "Hudson-Mohawk Marathon and Mini Marathon" at the Amphitheatre of Albany's Corning Preserve.
Joe’s Boys has even been the headline musical act - twice - at the incredible "Carrot Festival!"
The band’s music and crowd-pleasing personality are just made for YOU!
Joe's Boys has a wide range of material, with over 250 songs in our repertoire of "good time rock ‘n pop" songs from the '60’s, '70’s, '80’s and beyond (including plenty from this century, too). We play a tremendous number of fun "one-hit wonders" and take tons of requests from our audiences, too! We also generate good-natured audience participation and "backup singing" when appropriate. Our performances are always specifically geared to the audience that's standing right in front of us! And that means… YOU!!!

Check out the story just below that will bring you up-to-date on everything that happened to the 'BOYS AND THEIR BANANA just a couple of days ago - IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC OF ALL PLACES!

Well, we kind of lost track of our banana boat - it just disappeared from the JOE’S BOYS WAREHOUSE a while back - and we had given up hope of ever riding on our yellow fruit frigate again - that is, until last week when Maestro, while walking along an incredible stretch of beach in beautiful Punta Cana, spotted our banana boat doing about 65 mph out in the Caribbean Sea with six thieves riding on the yellow peel!
Well, when these guys on our banana boat spotted Maestro running after them on the beach - they all jumped off and swam away in different directions! Maestro quickly put on his flippers and nose plug, swam out to the now pilotless banana boat, put the tow rope between his teeth, and then heroically swam to shore with the ‘BOYS’ banana boat following close behind!

So, Maestro dragged our banana back to his hotel (oh, yeah, Carole and the kids were really thrilled to see this out in the hallway), then he deflated it and brought it as a carry-on on the plane home - and JOE’S BOYS has their banana boat back! And we’ll be riding it once again as soon as the temperature jumps, oh, about 50 degrees or so from what it is today!!!

men and women who serve the community.

Joe’s Boys drummer, Steve "Legend" Colfer and his wife, Carm, just sheepishly reported that they fell asleep at the Saratoga Racino, and two hours after closing time, woke up to see this thing hovering right over them!
At first, poor Legend thought this was the gateway to heaven! When he regained full consciousness and realized that it wasn't a spaceship that came down to get him, he figured out what had occurred and simply summed it up by saying, "Lucky Joe" is usually how we describe how our Joe must feel playing with the 'Boys!

Hudson-Mohawk Marathon and Half Marathon, where
thousands of runners, friends and fans descended upon
Albany's Corning Preserve for the great festivities at the
finish line!
And the 'Boys were honored to have Albany's Mayor Jennings
pay us a visit right by our stage just before showtime!
The Mayor is really into the music that the 'Boys play
practically every week for our friends and fans throughout
the Capital District (and beyond) - and we'll be bringing our

And our friends and fans couldn't get enough of them!

P.S. Joe’s backyard will never be the same!

You all know that Joe’s Boys always step into their musical
timemachine everytime we go on stage - going back and forth
in time and space to the ‘50’s, the ‘60’s, ‘70’s before zapping
into the 21st Century - and even “traveling down the
Thruway” to visit recording artists on Manhattan’s Upper
East Side, Central Park West, and even Bay Ridge in
Brooklyn!
Well, Joe just did a no-no. He took the ‘Boys’ timemachine
for a spin on his own, twirling a bunch of dials, pushing
buttons like crazy, and didn’t even top off the tank before
he blasted off! He had no idea where he was headed for!
Serves Joe right! By the looks of this picture, Joe landed
a job playing accordion in the lobby of a hotel - in 1957 -
right near the Trevi Fountain in Rome!

For the 3rd consecutive year, Joe's Boys was proud to be
the headline musical act at Michael's Banquet House where
they performed at the Annual Jazz/Rock Brunch that
generated thousands of dollars to benefit the Little Sisters
of the Poor and Our Lady of Hope - a wonderful senior
living and skilled nursing facility in Latham!
The 'Boys were, once again, joined by Julie Chapman, YNN's
co-anchor of Channel 9's morning newscast, who served as
the mistress of ceremonies at this huge Capital District
charitable event!

Joe's Boys were honored to perform at the "2011 Shriners
Fall Ceremonial" held this year in beautiful Ticonderoga, New
York!
Thousands of dollars were raised during this incredible event,
donations directed to the important work done by Shriners
Hospitals!
The 'Boys performed throughout the night for those
attending the "2011 Shriners Ceremonial Feast" and were
proud to have been a part of this terrific evening!

Everybody knows that sometimes Joe leaves the stage to mingle with the crowd, seat some guests, serve some drinks, check the weather - the 'Boys don't know where he'll be from minute to minute! Hey! One night at Smith's of Cohoes, he ran out the front door in the middle of a song! Why, you ask? 'Cause when the door opened up, he saw his car double-parked outside with the lights on and the engine running ! Joe didn't bother to park his car for the night! Talk about getting psyched up for a show!
Joe went a little too far a couple of weeks ago, when Joe's Boys was playing a gig outdoors! Gone, again! Well, we happened to look up in the sky and quickly figured things out! It turns out that Joe has a little business venture on the side that he didn't tell the 'Boys about - and we actually spotted him checking things out from the customers' viewpoint during a break in a recent gig! Too bad, it was the viewpoint of his other customers - not Joe's Boys'! Joe's new business???

Now, we all know that sometimes things happen for a reason.
Right after this business venture, Joe found his true calling (and his current occupation) - assuming the chief responsibility for making certain that one of the Capital District's leading hospitals, including their operating rooms, intensive care units, and laboratories, is maintained in a safe and pristine condition!
Joe attributes his current success to the techniques that he perfected at his auto body shop!
